"3D Alcove Area" (June 2023)
Project overview:
Even though I was satisfied with my Baba-Yaga hut, I didn't have the knowledge about turning concepts into models. During this project I improved my environmental sketching and concept making. The process wasn't linear, first, I used already existing areas (for example, an area from"Sky: Children of the Light" by That Game Company). Based on those areas I created my own and once I was good in making environmental sketches, I designed concepts for the alcove that I wanted to make. Besides just making the overview concept, I tried to show how the scene would feel from the "inside" perspective.
The model was made in Autodesk Maya in a low-poly style to show the idea of the concept.
